Roy Hibbert Shines in Taiwan

We're not going to post updates on every game of current Hoyas now playing in the NBA (actually, maybe we will), but Roy Hibbert's performance in last night's preseason game is worth noting:

Roy Hibbert scored 20 points, grabbed 11 boards and blocked eight shots as the Pacers beat the Nuggets in Taiwan on Thursday.

20, 11, and 8? Not bad.

Coming off an impressive performance in the Orlando Summer League in which he was named one of the best players, Roy may be ready to make an impact in Indiana in this his 2nd season.

Probably worth noting that the Taipei Arena was packed to capacity, with more than 12,000 screaming and shouting fans.

Casually.

Not bad big fella. I hope this is sign of things to come for Roy. He definitely seems to want it and has absolutely worked his ass off.

During the season, you should deputize someone to do a daily round-up post of Georgetowners in the NBA and how they did.

Sorta knew you would say that

Even debated not suggesting the idea, but it’s too good of an idea. I’ll do it.

Bowman had a decent line

4-6 from the field, 9 pts, 4 rbs, 1 dime, 1 block, no tos no fouls, he has a shot if he can be out Sean Singletary

Really, how big of a list is it any more?

No Deke, No Zo, No Boumtje (I guess)

Only Green, Roy, Bowman, Summers, AI, Sweetney – Am I missing anyone?

BTW – Sweetney cannot be long for this traning camp. Managed in 9 mintues to score 10 points but register no assists, rebounds, steal or blocks while still fouling 5 times and turning the ballover. It is always amazing to watch a blackhole being formed.
