Georgetown Hoyas Crack Top 25 in ESPN Coaches Poll
The powers that be at ESPN have unveiled the first Top 25 poll.
Seems fairly legit to have Gtown at 21 as they come off a horrific season (special thanks to ESPN for reminding everyone of the way that season ended).
Worth noting that although some commentators believe the Big East will be down, in addition to Gtown, the poll includes Nova at 6, WVU at 9, UConn at 14, Louisville at 23, and Cuse at 25 (always comforting to take delight in issues that other programs have had over the past year) and the league should remain strong. The only other local team listed is the mighty Terps at 26.
Guess the only thing left to do is plot the proper Titanic sign for when Nolan Smith leads #8 Duke to the unfriendly confines of the Verizon Center.

5 games against preseason top ten teams, 10 against top 25 teams…
Good talk.
With that kind of schedule...
Nikita’s really going to have to step up.
If he can just hit the rim instead of the backboard we should be OK in at least half of those 10 games against top 25 teams.
Casually.
DeCourcy
Calls Georgetown the most underrated team in top 25.
The Hoyas are so talent-rich it would be astounding not to see them develop into one of the most improved teams. With Greg Monroe inside, Chris Wright outside and Austin Freeman in between, the Hoyas have no excuses for not taking up residence in the vicinity of the top 10.
Good talk.
