Ewing Update

According to two sources, the Knicks plan to sign Senegalese 7-foot-1 free-agent center Cheikh Samb to a 10-day contract by week's end. Samb, a second-round pick from last year, was cut by the Clippers last week. He played in 16 games for the Clips.

The Knicks don't have strong interest in Patrick Ewing Jr. right now because they are stocked at that position.
